Shotgun News is the world’s oldest, most widely read sales publication for motivated buyers of all types of firearms, accessories and collectibles. It provides timely, complete market information and distinctive editorial features every 10 days, making it the indispensable tool for the firearms fancier who buys often and in quantity.
I was first hired on as the art director for Shotgun News in 1997. My first task was to assist in the move of the magazine from Nebraska to Peoria, Illinois and transition it from the traditional cutting and pasting of storyboards to a new digital workflow. I continued to improve upon the design and the efficiency in which the magazine was being produced. In turn, this led to bringing more magazines to Peoria and becoming the Group Art Director over all the titles.
