Since 1958, GUNS & AMMO has been the preeminent consumer firearms magazine extant. In-depth coverage of new firearms, ammunition, historical guns, reloading, technical innovations and the shooting sports in general are G&A hallmarks. What sets it apart from the competition has been its stable of contributors, many of whom were—and are—legends in the firearms field. When in doubt about the magazine’s “mission statement,” just refer to its distinctive, world-recognized title. The name pretty much says it all.
My role as the Group Art Director was to assist the art director with the redesign of the magazine. The design was to be more current to span a wider demographic, as well as, functional to meet the proficiency needs of the art director.
